Type specimen: CPC 16924, thin section 73426001, coordinates 2.5x97.1. Its type locality is Wicken's Hill deposit, borehole WH 14, 63.2 m depth, which is in a Statherian basinal (siliciclastic) shale in the Barney Creek Formation of Australia.

Ecology: stationary "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Wicken's Hill deposit, borehole WH 14, 63.2 m depth
