Type specimen: MPCA-SM-78, a dermal scale (cervical half-ring element). Its type locality is Salitral Moreno (NH1) [MPCA], which is in a Maastrichtian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone/sandstone in the Allen Formation of Argentina.
