Type specimen: MCZ 19965, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton including both mandibles and partial or complete postcranial bones). Its type locality is Harvard MCZ 19965 Site, Edwards Ranch, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian terrestrial horizon in the Cloverly Formation of Montana.
