Type specimen: NMS 1950.38.85, a partial skull (splenial). Its type locality is Burghlee Ironstone, Loanhead, Midlothian, which is in a Pendleian terrestrial ironstone/limestone in the Limestone Coal Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Burghlee Ironstone, Loanhead, Midlothian
