Type specimen: NMB Sth. 833, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Steinheim am Albuch, which is in a MN 7 + 8 lacustrine - small siliciclastic/limestone in Germany.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser-grazer

Distribution: found only at Steinheim am Albuch
