Belongs to Pachythaerus according to H. E. Vokes 1946
Sister taxa: Crassatella (Pachythaerus) yanagisawai, Pachythaerus vindinnensis
Type specimen: AMNH 26009. Its type locality is Olive Locality, which is in an Aptian coastal sandstone in the Abeih Formation of Lebanon.
Ecology: facultatively mobile shallow infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Olive Locality
