Mammalia - Rodentia - Heteromyidae
Intermediate in size, larger than H. woodi and H. canadensis, smaller than H. irvini; ratio of length of incisive foramen to diastemal length 0.36, less than in H. irvini (0.450.46) but greater than in other geomyoids except heliscomyids and dipodomyine heteromyids; no distinct protostyle on P4, but protoloph and metaloph unite lingually to form U-shape; p4 approximately equal in width and length (wider than long in H. irvini; longer than wide in H. woodi).
