Belongs to Vultur according to F. J. Degrange et al. 2023
Sister taxon: Vultur gryphus
Type specimen: MCH 363, a limb element (right femur). Its type locality is San Fernando Norte (40 m above tuff bed), which is in a Zanclean alluvial fan mudstone in the Andalhuala Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: volant carnivore
Distribution: found only at San Fernando Norte (40 m above tuff bed)
