Type specimen: WMNH-Ge-1140240002, a skeleton. Its type locality is 350 m south of Mt Toyajo, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian marine sandstone in the Toyajo Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at 350 m south of Mt Toyajo
