Type specimen: Carnegie Museum Collection No. 1424, a set of limb elements (radius, ulna, femur, tibia, fragment of fibula, and partial fore and hind feet). Its type locality is Niobrara Canyon, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska.
