Type specimen: ELI-0000601. Its type locality is Chengjiang Selkirkia transita type locality, which is in a Stage 3 offshore shelf mudstone/siltstone in the Yu'anshan Formation of China.

Ecology: facultatively mobile semi-infaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Chengjiang Selkirkia transita type locality
