Sister taxa: Ontocetus emmonsi, Trichecodon koninckii

Type specimen: NWHCM 1996.1, a mandible (a complete pair of mandibles of an adult female individual). Its type locality is Easton Bavents, which is in a Pleistocene marine sandstone in the Norwich Crag Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution:

• Quaternary of the Netherlands (1 collection), the United Kingdom (1)

• Miocene of Belgium (1)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
