Type specimen: OCO-2c-1a, b, a partial skeleton (complete skeleton preserved in part and counterpart). Its type locality is Kabchore-2a and -2c, which is in a Miocene terrestrial marl in Kenya.

Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Kabchore-2a and -2c
