Type specimens:

  • Peraceras superciliosum: AMNH 8380, a skull (a nearly perfect skull, which lacks the lower jaw)
  • Peraceras troxelli: AMNH 14434, a skull. Its type locality is Troxell's Rhino, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska.

• Miocene of United States (25: California, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas collections)

Total: 25 collections each including a single occurrence
