Type specimen: UMMP 62100, a partial skull (an incomplete skull). Its type locality is Shoofly Creek, which is in a Pliocene fluvial horizon in the Glenns Ferry Formation of Idaho.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Shoofly Creek
