  • Phenacocoelus typus: CM 1263, a partial skeleton (the greater portion of a skeleton). Its type locality is Monroe Creek (Type), which is in a Monroecreekian terrestrial horizon in the Monroe Creek Formation of Nebraska.
  • Phenacocoelus munroensis: CMNH 1288, a partial skeleton (the lower jaws, fragments of the atlas and other cervicals, two anterior dorsals, a fragment of the sacrum, fragments of ribs, por- tions of both radii, and the).
