Type specimen: MUEcSj5/24/123, a partial skull (partial skull including left tympanic bulla, both mandibles, and teeth). Its type locality is El Saladito, which is in a Chattian marine mudstone in the El Cien Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at El Saladito
