Type specimen: IVPP V27033, a partial skull (partial cranium, partial mandible). Its type locality is Sinoadapis shihuibaensis - type locality, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in China.
Ecology: scansorial carnivore-omnivore
Distribution: found only at Sinoadapis shihuibaensis - type locality
