Type specimen: CM-M16825A/J, a shell. Its type locality is Adam Mudstone, Inangahua & Waitahu Outliers, Reefton area, New Zealand, which is in an Emsian marine mudstone/siltstone in the Adam Mudstone Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at Adam Mudstone, Inangahua & Waitahu Outliers, Reefton area, New Zealand
