Sister taxon: Magallanodon baikashkenke

Type specimen: MPM-PV-21572, a tooth (First lower right molariform). Its type locality is La Anita (Puma cave site), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial claystone in the Chorrillo Formation of Argentina.
