Sister taxon: Pseudopisidum inflata

Type specimen: KSG 4220, a valve (internal mold of right valve). Its type locality is North of Doiban, Monobe-mura, which is in an Aptian estuary/bay sandstone in the Hibihara Formation of Japan.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at North of Doiban, Monobe-mura
