Sister taxon: Xenovenator espinosai

Type specimen: SMP VP-1955, a partial skull (frontal). Its type locality is north fork, Alamo Wash, SMP Loc. 388a, which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Kirtland Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (3: New Mexico collections)
