Type specimen: USGS 25298, a mandible (left dentary with canine, P2-M3, and the base of I1). Its type locality is Elk Creek (428 m), which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: arboreal insectivore

Distribution: found only at Elk Creek (428 m)
