Type specimen: CM 45728, a cephalon/head (partial cephalic shield). Its type locality is Indian Wells Canyon, Alamogordo, Caballero Formation, Otero, which is in a Kinderhookian offshore shelf wackestone in the Caballero Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of United States (2: Montana, New Mexico collections)
