Type specimen: Mount Holyoke College, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Boynton farm, South Hadley, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian terrestrial sandstone in the Portland Formation of Massachusetts.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Boynton farm, South Hadley
