Type specimen: SMU 73203. Its type locality is SMU locality 263 (upper Paw Paw Fm.), which is in an Albian offshore claystone in the Paw Paw Formation of Texas.

Distribution: found only at SMU locality 263 (upper Paw Paw Fm.)
