Type specimens:
- Hypacrosaurus altispinus: AMNH 5206, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is 4 miles above Tolman Ferry (50 ft level) [AMNH], which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Canada.
- Cheneosaurus tolmanensis: NMC 2246. Its type locality is 5 miles above Tolman Ferry, (150 ft level) [GSC], which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Canada.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Canada (14: Alberta collections)
Total: 14 collections each including a single occurrence
