Sister taxon: Songzia acutunguis
Type specimen: IVPP. v 8756, a partial skeleton (partially complete skeleton with complete skull and hind limbs). Its type locality is Near Jingzhou, which is in an Eocene terrestrial shale in the Yangxi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Near Jingzhou
