Sister taxon: Eosqualodon latirostris

Type specimen: KHTMB 326, a skull. Its type locality is Doberg bei Bünde, which is in a Chattian shallow subtidal mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Doberg Formation of Germany.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Doberg bei Bünde
