Type specimens:

  • Edmontosaurus regalis: NMC 2288, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is mouth of Three Hills Creek, Horsethief Canyon (200 ft level), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Canada.
  • Agathaumas milo: AMNH (lost), a set of postcrania (sacral centrum and fragment of proximal end of tibia). Its type locality is Bijou Creek (USG&GS), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Laramie Formation of Colorado.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (7: Alberta collections), United States (1: Colorado)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
