Type specimen: AC 12/3-12/4, a footprint. Its type locality is below Turners Falls, tracksite, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone/shale in the Portland Formation of Massachusetts.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
