Sister taxon: Behemotops proteus
Type specimen: AMP22, a skeleton. Its type locality is Morawan (Upper tuffaceous Siltstone Member), which is in a Chattian basinal (siliceous) siltstone in the Morawan Formation of Japan.
Ecology: amphibious herbivore
Distribution: found only at Morawan (Upper tuffaceous Siltstone Member)
