Type specimen: CAS 4371A, a skull. Its type locality is Ladera Bridge, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian lagoonal sandstone/siltstone in the Vaqueros Formation of California.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Ladera Bridge
