Type specimen: MACN Pv SC4241. Its type locality is La Cañada, Pinturas Fm., Río Chico, Santa Cruz, Argentina, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Pinturas Formation of Argentina.

Distribution: found only at La Cañada, Pinturas Fm., Río Chico, Santa Cruz, Argentina
