Type specimen: USNM 314325, a skull (complete skull with dentition). Its type locality is Big Creek, south, which is in a Burdigalian deltaic mudstone in the Nye Formation of Oregon.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Big Creek, south
