Belongs to Palaeoxantusia according to K. T. Smith 2006

Sister taxa: Palaeoxantusia allisoni, Palaeoxantusia amara, Palaeoxantusia fera, Palaeoxantusia kyrentos

Type specimen: SMNH 1435 (right splenio-dentary). Its type locality is Calf Creek, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial horizon in the Cypress Hills Formation of Canada.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-herbivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of Canada (1: Saskatchewan collection), United States (2: North Dakota, Wyoming)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
