Sister taxon: Delphinornis larseni

Type specimen: IB/P/B-0484, a limb element (left tarsometatarsus). Its type locality is ZPAL 4, which is in a Priabonian estuary/bay horizon in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of Antarctica (2 collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
