Type specimen: USNM 520723, a carapace. Its type locality is Mabelle, 15 km NE of Seymour, Baylor County, which is in a Kungurian marginal marine shale in the Lueders Formation of Texas.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Mabelle, 15 km NE of Seymour, Baylor County
