Type specimen: MAFI Ob. 580, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Szentmargita, which is in a Langhian platform/shelf-margin reef mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Leitha Formation of Austria.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Szentmargita
