Sister taxa: Greenops (Neometacanthus), Greenops boothi

Type specimen: MBLUZ P-1448. Its type locality is 420 meters, Perija Mountains section, between 1.2 and 2.5 km, north of Hacienda El Reposo, high, eastern flank of the upper valley formed by Caño Colorado, northern tributary of Rio Palmar in the Perijá Mountains, which is in a Givetian marine siltstone in the Cano del Oeste Formation of Venezuela.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at 420 meters, Perija Mountains section, between 1.2 and 2.5 km, north of Hacienda El Reposo, high, eastern flank of the upper valley formed by Caño Colorado, northern tributary of Rio Palmar in the Perijá Mountains
