It was assigned to Pseudozygopleurinae by Horný (1955), Knight et al. (1960); to Caenogastropoda by Hoare (1961); to Palaeozygopleuridae by Hoare and Sturgeon (1981); to Pseudozygopleuridae by Pan and Erwin (2002); and to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002).
