Protogusarella smithi

Taxonomy
Protogusarella smithi was named by Perry and Chatterton (1979). Its type specimen is UA 2519, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Preuss Creek, sample 1 (835 m), which is in a Spathian shallow subtidal grainstone/siltstone in the Thaynes Formation of Idaho. It is the type species of Protogusarella.
