It was assigned to Ranellidae by Stilwell and Zinsmeister (1992); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Cymatium by Todd (2001), Beu (2005), Landau et al. (2008); to Cymatiinae by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010); and to Ranellinae by Beu (2010).
