Taxonomy
Chardinomys bilikeensis was named by Qiu and Storch (2000). Its type specimen is IVPP 11932, a maxilla (sin. with M1), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bilike, which is in a Pliocene lacustrine horizon in China.
