Fusus kelletii was named by Forbes (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Recent.]. It is extant.
It was recombined as Siphonalia kellettii by Arnold (1903); it was recombined as Siphonalia (Kelletia) kelletii by Vredenburg (1923), Ruth (1942); it was recombined as Kelletia (Kelletia) kelletii by Grant, IV and Gale (1931) and Willett (1937); it was misspelled as Kelletia kelleti by Valentine (1957); it was recombined as Kelletia kelletii by Hendy (2021).
