Taxonomy
Lomaphyllum cancellatum was named by Guo (1983). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Da Hinggan Ling Mountains, Inner Mongolia, C3j, which is in a Stephanian marine horizon in China. It is the type species of Lomaphyllum.
