Taxonomy
Lophophyllidium interseptatum was named by Kossovaya (2007). Its type locality is Dalnyi T'ulkas section, Unit 2, Ufa, southern Bashkiria, which is in a Moscovian perireef or subreef packstone in the Tashly Formation of the Russian Federation.
