Turbinolia texana was named by Conrad (1857). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Trochosmilia texana by Felix (1914); it was recombined as Dungulia texana by Shimer and Shrock (1944); it was recombined as Coelosmilia texana by Wells (1933), Turnsek et al. (2003).
