Taxonomy
Periallus woodsidensis was named by Hoover (1979). Its type specimen is USNM 242140 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 76-PC, which is in a Dienerian carbonate limestone in the Woodside Formation of Idaho.
