Taxonomy

Conciliterga was named by Hou and Bergström (1997). It was considered monophyletic by Ortega-Hernandez et al. (2013), Lerosey-Aubril et al. (2017).

It was assigned to Artiopoda by Hou and Bergström (1997), Ivantsov (1999); to Artiopoda by Lerosey-Aubril et al. (2017); and to Trilobitomorpha by Ortega-Hernandez et al. (2013), Losso et al. (2025).

Diagnosis

S. R. Losso et al. 2025	Artiopodans with broad and nearly flattened dorsal exoskeleton and well-developed rounded anterior sclerite. Axial body region is gently raised but lacking axial furrows. Thorax consists of 6–14 tergites with edge-to-edge articulations and variably fused tergite boundaries. Posterior cephalic margin and anterior tergites gently reflexed anteriorly.
